A woman with brown hair, wearing a little black dress and black heels, sits cross-legged on the arm of a large green settee. Her hair is down and wavy, over one shoulder, neat and simple. She is leaning unevenly on her right elbow, which makes her left hip jut out.

Fifth and final painting in the series ‘Woman’s Room’. It is a room where women can hang and relax and not worry about the event, the world, or the other people waiting for her outside. You get the sense they are being themselves and not trying too hard. Although they obviously spent time getting ready for the evening, that is all behind them, and it is time to enjoy. The women are probably single, on their own, may or may not be on a date, no ring, there may not be a second date, they may be in the lounge in the women’s room during an event.
